Downtown is ORTLIEB’s new bike briefcase for work, university or school. It combines retro-design with functionality. Downtown offers the benefits of a spacious shoulder bag, however, with the bonus of having a convenient rack mounting (Quick-Lock2). The ORTLIEB QL2 system allows fast and easy single-handed mounting and removal of the bag. The QL2 hooks can be adapted to the rack without requiring any tools, and are suitable for racks with a tube diameter from 8 mm to 16 mm. Once fixed to the rack, the hooks lock automatically. For removal of the bag, you simply lift the carrying handle, and the hooks open easily. The elliptical hook rail on the lower rear side serves for further fixing, and prevents the bag from moving. The rotatable QL2 fixing hook adapts to almost all rack as it rotates in 45° steps. The rotatable hook rail is mounted on the left side, however, it can also be changed to the right
side of the rack.
Downtown features a variable flap which easily adapts to its contents. A padded shoulder strap and carrying handle allow comfortable transport of heavy files, laptop, paperwork, etc. Internal organizers (two zippered and two pockets), a pen holder, and a snap hook for keys help storing and organizing items inside. Downtown is suitable for A4 documents and 15.4“ (Laptop Sleeves available as optional accessory). The proven and sturdy PD620 fabric is 100% waterproof and easy to clean. Base feet and edge protectors safe the bag’s bottom.
